Hey there, I'm Michelle and I chose to write my own ending
Just like you, I've experienced many ups and down in my life. I experienced heartache, loss, great love and above all beauty.
My story is meant to inspire you to create a life of freedom.
To know that no matter what chapters may have unfolded in your past, YOU have the power to write your own ending.
The more you accept your story and choose to share it with the world the stronger your brand, business and impact will be.
JUST LIKE YOU, I'VE ALWAYS KNOWN I WAS MEANT FOR BIGGER THINGS.
I also had absolutely no problem telling everyone I met all about my dreams of being a Broadway star - yep that’s right! I dedicated most of my life, before turning 20, to getting to New York and being on Broadway. I excelled in school so I could get out and spread my wings.
After high school I joined a performing arts group and traveled through Europe teaching music to children, this is what lit the fire in me to start traveling. I felt so alive when experiencing new cultures and learning from another's way of life.
Yet, despite my love for traveling, I left the group after about two years and went the way I was always told was best, you know to get a college degree.
During college for musical theatre I started to lose my way. I began to harm myself physically and emotionally, I was confused at which direction to take and I was making poor choices which were affecting my friendships and self worth. I had absolutely no direction and was just coasting through life.
THEN MY WORLD TURNED UPSIDE DOWN IN SPRING OF 2008.
MY YOUNGER BROTHER AND BEST FRIEND WAS DIAGNOSED WITH CANCER.
For one year I watched my brother fight for his life. During this time I had a horrible realization that I was wasting mine. What was I doing? Where was my life going?
Have you or are you currently feeling this way?
How could I waste my life, when the person I loved more than anyone in this world was losing his? I realized the hard way that everything can change in an instant - from his diagnosis, to his chemo, to the day we said our final goodbye, I was losing a piece of myself every time.
WHEN MY BROTHER LOST HIS BATTLE TO CANCER I MADE A VOW TO HIM AND MYSELF THAT I WOULD NOT LET MY LIFE PASS ME BY ANY LONGER.
Despite all the pain and heartache I was experiencing, I made a decision to alter the course of my life.
I truly believe it was this decision that ultimately saved my life. Just six months later I attracted the most amazing, supportive and handsome man into my life, who would later become my husband. Although my husband had always been a part of my life, he was my brothers best friend, it wasn't until I completely shifted my mindset and my self-worth that we were drawn together.
Shortly after we started dating we moved to Chicago and began to transform our lives. We had both lost someone so dear to us and knew deep down we couldn’t waste another day. We surrounded ourselves with love, passion and happiness. I graduated college with a degree in Public Relations and together we became the healthiest we had ever been, traveled the world together and continued to up level day after day.
