Your ideal core content format is...
BLOGGING

Blogging is one of my favorite evergreen marketing strategies, so I'm super excited to give you the tools to be successful.

Let me begin by saying blogging is NOT dead, so if your instinct is to click away, I encourage you to stay.

I use blogging every single month to drive organic (aka free) traffic to my website, grow my email list, and sign clients. By utilizing some awesome tricks, and advancing to additional platforms, you can use Blogging to drive leads to your website for years to come.

Some of my blogs from 2016 still lead to new clients!

Based on your initial response to the quiz, blogging would be your bread and butter, and I couldn’t be happier for you. Let's dive in!

Here are a few reasons blog marketing works so well as a core marketing strategy!

  • Over 80% of internet users (that’s ~4.4 billion people) read blog posts, think of the massive audience you can reach.

  • Websites with blogs see up to 55% more traffic, thanks to more pages and SEO opportunity.

  • Blogging boosts your search rank. Sites with a blog get 434% more indexed pages, increasing your chances to be discovered

  • 44% of buyers say they typically consume three to five pieces of content before engaging with a vendor. Blogs are a great way to showcase your expertise!

Pretty cool, right?!

Now let's get into some strategy!

HERE ARE MY TOP TIPS FOR GETTING STARTED...

  1. Begin by planning out 90 days, yes 3 months, worth of content.
That’s just 12 pieces of content (1 video a week to start). This content plan should be focused on three core elements:

    1. Your upcoming promoted product or service
    2. Your Ideal Customer's Psychographics
    3. SEO research for your industry and platform (note SEO varies based on the platform you’re using).

Inside the Authentic Brand Builders Academy, we teach Content Made Simple and make this easy peasy, and something you can rinse and repeat every 90 days.

  2. Create a workflow that you can repeat weekly.
This is the key to spending less than a few hours a week on content creation. With a simple workflow, you can begin to refine the system and optimize your time in the best way. Here’s a sample of mine:

    1. Write content weekly via Google Doc

    2. Edit using Grammarly (my secret tool)

    3. Add your content to the website of your choice. I love Squarespace. Bonus points for saving a template and reusing it each week.

    4. Add a Pinterest image made in Canva (more below)

    5. Include SEO (this is something that’s essential for your blogs to get discovered.

    6. Inside the Authentic Brand Builders Academy, we cover this in the Blogging training. You’ll want a Site Title, Site Description, and to integrate secondary keywords into your content.

    7. Schedule your post for publishing!

  3. More on SEO.
SEO is key when writing your blog content, and it will play a role in what you title your blog, the images you use, and more. By adding SEO from the start, you’ll give your blog a higher chance of being seen. By accident, I implemented SEO early and have blogs published from 2016 that are still driving traffic to my website, and growing my audience with warm leads.

Does SEO feel complicated? I get it! But, when you understand the fundamentals of SEO it can be quite easy to implement.

Hi, I'm
Michelle Knight!

My clients call me MK, and I'm a mother, wife, world traveler, and storyteller. I'm also a Brand Strategist and founder of Brandmerry.com.

I support entrepreneurs in branding themselves online, marketing their message, and creating more income and impact.

I do this by teaching the power of storytelling to create an authentic brand that allows my clients to show up as they are, build a loyal community, and experience time, financial, and location freedom as a result of their work.

Within one year of starting my business, I left my 9-to-5 and built a 6-figure business.

Then in 2019, I retired my husband, built a multiple-six-figure-a-year business, and traveled full-time in an RV.

Now, I run a multiple-six-figure-a-year business, which has generated over $1 million in revenue, and my story and business have been featured on CNBC, Entrepreneur, Fast Company, and Authority Magazine.
